Southampton Spitfires - Ice and inline hockey

Match commentary

As a last week special event, a Spitfires vs Portsmouth friendly ice match was organised, to see who is actually on top.

After some organisational struggles, the puck was dropped, and 90 minutes later Portsmouth was up by 13-0 on the final whistle. Even though it was a big loss, all the Spitfires as well as the Portsmouth players hugely enjoyed the game, and for that reason will definitely have to be repeated on a more regular basis, to show what the spitfires are truly made out of!

The line-up for the spitfires was: James Morgan, Jenny Sorge, Rob Vesse, Daz Lewington, Sam Darnton, Harriet Pearce, Laura Ginsberg, Ross Arthurs, Karik Isichei, Connie Blacklock, Alex Chaney, Dave George, Jamie Heayes, Dave Johnson and Erik van der Veen.

Man of the match were named as Portsmouth was Matt Wylde, and for the Spitfires Erik van der Veen.
